Gym sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please ensure both indoor and outdoor kits are in school each week.
Spelling - use the spelling grid to select a different activity each week to practise each of your spelling words.
Reading - use the reading grid to select a different activity each week. There also may be extra reading tasks sent home that are particular to your child's reading book.
Maths - pick one maths activity from the grid per week from the Maths Menu. Please complete the activity in your jotter.
Reading Folders should be in school every day, as they are also used to carry letters etc home in. Ideally reading should be completed a couple of times to ensure a good understanding of the text, however if there is a lot to read try to skim over the text again the night before reading is to be done in class.

Term 2 Learning
Our context in Term 2 was Space. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning lots of interesting facts about our solar system as well as the pattern of movement of the sun and moon and also carried out various fun activities in the classroom and outdoors in the playground.
In French P2 have been learning to talk about their pets and for those children who don’t have any pets, they were learning to say which pet they would like to have.
In Literacy children have been working hard to up-level their sentences and adding more detail to make their writing more interesting. Our class novel is The Twits by Roald Dahl and the class have been coming up with amazing adjectives to describe the characters then putting these into up-levelled sentences.
In Maths, children are increasing their confidence working with bigger numbers in both addition and subtraction. They have been using a variety of resources in class to help reinforce their learning.
P2 have also been using the computers and iPads to create pieces of work. They have been developing their computer skills weekly and are gaining confidence with using digital technology to support their learning.
